In this 14 part series, we present voice recordings and tidbits taken during our tour in The Republic of Georgia that was organized by Living Roots. You'll get to see and hear what we saw each day and how we felt about it. We did not edit the voice recordings or photos so you can really get a sense of how we were feeling and what we experienced on this trip. We hope you enjoy these experiences.
Day 8: Summary
The eigth day of our tour of Georgia found Zac feeling not so great as we headed on a long drive from Mestia to Batumi on the Black Sea. There were tons of animals in the road today that Shota had to maneuver around which was super entertaining for us. As we headed out Shota decided we all needed a break and for me to have a challenge in crossing a rather long, wooden suspension bridge. I think we've mentioned that I don't like suspension bridges and I think Shota was trying to cure me of my fears. I am definitely getting more accustomed to them, but still would prefer a little less sway in my crossings. We finished our day having arrived in the charming town of Batumi with time left to view a gorgeous sunset. We're looking forward to being here for a few days. Hear and see all about it below.
Highlights include: Long drive from Mestia to Batumi - lots of rain, cows, goats, pigs to make our way around, a long wooden suspension bridge challenge for Jill, viewing one of five arch dams in the world, drive by the Lake Paliastomi which drains into the Black Sea, and our first view of the Black Sea!!
