It was not love at first sight for us with the Dandy Hotel Tianjin Branch. This wasn’t the posh stay that we had on our first few nights in Taipei, and I had a hard time getting over that. The service is incredible here and that goes a long, long way to having me overlook some design issues.
Our trip up the many, many stairs of Elephant Mountain in Taipei, Taiwan found us encountering a man who taught us some acupressure, some orchids, an iridescent salamander-y creature, some toads, large spiders, a man exercising in the park and countless view of Taipei 101. This is definitely a great walk to do if you find yourselves with amazing weather while in Taipei.
I absolutely love fortune telling, rituals and "other worldly" woo woo-i-ness. So when asked if someone in our tour group would like to throw some ritual moon blocks for fortune telling, I was all in. I was made so happy with the practice that I tried it again on my own at a second temple. I think I might need some of these moon blocks of my own.
