Day 5 in Bali. A bit of a mystery. A black hole of a day if you will. Neither of us remember what we did this day, so I’m making it up. This is mostly a piece of fiction. Hope you enjoy!
For the first time since I’ve been married I showered in front of a woman I just met. But that was after she rubbed my entire body with herbs and rice. That’s right. Day four in Ubud was about massage. And then yoga and vegan food of course.
Another food focused day in Ubud, but it’s not what you think. We didn’t eat at a vegan restaurant. We took a cooking class! Okay, I lied. Our dinner that night was at an amazing raw restaurant.
Day two in Ubud, Bali consisted of, yes, more yoga and yes, more vegan food. But it also included a bout of public snoring during a yoga class AND a man in a turban singing above me while I lay prone on my back.
As predicted, we had a full day of yoga and food, along with a surprise warning from the hotel that our shoes shouldn’t be left on the patio at night because animals might come by in the night to steal them.
